A playbook for creating quality jobs through employee ownership
U.S. workers and communities need high-quality jobs more than ever, and employee ownership is a powerful strategy to support job quality. The U.S. Department of Commerce recognized this when they put together their Job Quality Toolkit, an outline of proven, actionable tools employers can use to distinguish themselves and recruit, retain, and reward talent. Employee ownership is highlighted in the toolkit as a driver of job quality. Project Equity helped ensure that EO was included in the toolkit by participating in the task force that pulled it together. Results for America, a non-partisan, national nonprofit that helps governments accelerate their use of evidence and data to deliver better results, also lifts up employee ownership as a strategy in their Job Quality Playbook.
