Becoming an indispensable advisor

Securing financing is often the make-or-break moment in EO transitions. This Certified Employee Ownership Advisor course prepares you to guide clients through funding options, from senior debt to seller financing, while understanding lender requirements and the realities of personal guarantees.

With practical insights into the lending process and access to alternative capital sources, you’ll gain confidence in structuring deals and supporting clients through successful transactions. Without this expertise, even the best EO plans risk collapsing.

Learning objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Comprehend the lending prerequisites for employee ownership transitions
  • Evaluate the significance of personal guarantees in financing decisions
  • Navigate the submission process for financing proposals
  • Explore various funding sources and their applicability
  • Identify the types of financing required for partial or full conversion to employee-owned businesses
