At Project Equity we build community wealth by growing employee-owned businesses, worker coops and democratic workplaces. Employee ownership is gaining traction across the nation with an estimated 7,500 companies employee-owned as ESOPs, worker coops or employee trusts. Nationally, employee-owners’ median household wealth is 92% higher than average, they receive 33% more income from wages, and their job tenure is over 50% longer (see more great stats in this publication from the National Center for Employee Ownership).
