The Cooperative Growth Ecosystem report, part of the “Building the Inclusive Economy Series,” an initiative of Citi Community Development, highlights cutting-edge economic development models for city leaders and community development practitioners interested in embedding equity, community wealth and sustainability into their local growth plans. The webinar will introduce the report and be tailored to economic development practitioners, lenders, investors, funders, cooperative developers, technical assistance providers and organizers.
In this webinar, Democracy at Work Institute and Project Equity discuss approaches to generate new types of business ownership and creating ecosystems that support worker ownership on a broader scale. This session covers opportunities and strategies to develop or expand networks for worker-owned businesses and advance economic progress for our communities. Two of the nation’s leading civil rights organizations which are members of the Asset Building Policy Network discuss the implications of the worker ownership movement within their respective organizations and local affiliate networks.
