Worker ownership action institute day

Dec 21, 2017 | Community

One of the most enjoyable parts of Project Equity’s work is visiting our regional partners and championing the national expansion of employee ownership conversions. This November we had the opportunity to join The Industrial Commons in Western North Carolina for a Worker Ownership Action Institute Day at the Isothermal Performing Arts Center. We engaged with a myriad of regional businesses interested in employee ownership. From the heritage industries of textiles and furniture to a 30-year-old landscaping company and a home care start-up cooperative, it is exhilarating to see the tools we’ve developed being adapted by The Industrial Commons for rural communities.
